Design Notes

When designing a siRNA it is important to find a target sequence (mRNA of ypur interest gene) that start with A or G nucleotide. Try to choose sequences with low GC content. Also, it's recomended to analyze the thermodynamic properties of the designed siRNA.

Finally, to avoid off target effect you can perform a BLAST.

Remember to design appropiate controls: - A negative control could be a siRNA with the same nucleotide composition but without sequence homology to the genome. - Other siRNA sequences that target the same mRNA.
